Cooperative Education Student Achievement Award

Brief Description:

The Cooperative Education Student Achievement Award is given each year to an outstanding student enrolled in a four-year or five-year degree program who has participated in a Cooperative Education between September 1 of the previous year and August 31 of the nominating year. Students must be nominated by a CEIA member school or employer.

Description/Criteria:

The Cooperative Education and Internship Association (CEIA) is sponsoring a search for outstanding co-op students employed between September 1 of the previous year and August 31 of the nominating year.  The winning student will receive a plaque and a cash award. All nominated students will receive a letter and certificate of recognition for their national nomination.

Eligibility:

  • Nominated students must be enrolled in a four-year / five-year degree program.

  • Nominated students must be registered in a cooperative education program meeting the traditional definition of multiple work terms.

  • Nominated students must have completed two or more work sessions or be in process of completing the second work session at the time of nomination.

  • Students who complete one-time internship positions do not qualify for this award (see the other CEIA student awards).

  • We request that each institution or site sponsor nominate only one individual.

  • The awards committee reserves to right to determine award eligibility.
