The Cooperative Education & Internship Association is dedicated to fostering research that will advance work-integrated learning. Research is necessary to enhance the professional development of the membership, advance the knowledge base, document best practices and innovations, as well as strengthen collaboration with our faculty partners.
To support its research mission, the CEIA publishes the Journal of Cooperative Education & Internships, offers annual research grants, recognizes outstanding research contributions with the James W. Wilson and Ralph W. Tyler Awards, and occasionally publishes books, surveys and other materials germane to the profession. More information on the research endeavors of the CEIA can be obtained by contacting the Research Committee or the Vice President for Research and Information
CEIA jointly sponsors a Survey of the Profession each year with ASEE/CED and NSEE. The ultimate goal of the survey is for CEIA and its professionals to be consistently aware of the issues and needs our profession is collectively addressing and to gain access to data that will help us support our respective programs. The results of this survey and future surveys will be made available on the CEIA website.
