Gaining support is essential to the success of your program. This requires a thoughtful, strategic approach every day. The Curriculum Development session will go over sample syllabi, discuss the pendulum swing between credit-bearing and non-credit/zero-credit courses, and best approaches for anchoring student participants and site supervisors. This session will cover technical climbing in enrolling student participants in paid vs. unpaid experiences, course prerequisites, etc.
If you are staff, focused on facilitating student and employer connections for work- integrated learning opportunities, you will attend the Calibrating Your Compass: Program/Workshop Development breakout session facilitated by Andrew Harper.
For the Curriculum Development session, you will go over best approaches for identifying gaps in needed programming, anchoring student participants and the institutional colleague student engagement referral process.
