2019 CEIA Academy & Life Design Thinking, a Great Success!
32 WIL professionals attended the academy June 11th-13th at the Manor Lodge in Vail, CO. The new format created by Joe Catrino and Zach Osborne proved to be a great success!
The design thinking process is a powerful framework for understanding and solving complex problems. Professionals learned how to push beyond their first good idea and discover a new level of creativity and momentum. Attendees were taught the foundation of design thinking and an opportunity for a hands-on design challenge, which will result in each attendee taking a new idea back to their institution. During the 2nd day of the Academy, attendees further developed their work on a prototype or idea to take back to their institution.
Attendee Krystina LaSorsa, Assistant Manager, Career Services Center at the College of Dupage in Glen Ellyn, Il remarked, “The CEIA Academy was an amazing experience! As soon as I arrived, I felt welcomed and comfortable. This experience gave me the opportunity to focus on my personal program while learning from several other career services professionals. I would recommend this training to anyone in the field!
Stay tuned for more information regarding next year’s Academy!
